“As of last week, all the lots were graded, with boundary stakes and information signs showing exact sizes and positions,” says Scott Wilshaw, managing partner of Manor Developments. “Once servicing is completed, construction of the homes and hotel can begin.”
The 25-acre forested site is on Tabletop Mountain, overlooking Lake Okanagan. The 44-suite luxury hotel has been patterned after a gracious, comfortable European manor house and will be the only private residence club in Western Canada where members enjoy exclusive use of their own home that is not inside a hotel, and can enjoy some 30 privileges ranging from corporate golf membership and preferred rates at local ski resorts to private wine storage and daily concierge service. Historic Peachland, celebrating its centennial in 2009, offers 11 kilometres of lakefront beaches, farmers' market, boutique shopping and restaurants.
Designed by Vancouver architect John Sproule, Trepanier Manor will feature a gate house with a wine interpretive centre and antique shop, tennis court, lawn for bocce, croquet and other garden games, spa, swimming pools, restaurants, cooking classes, wine tastings, games room and library.
Lot sizes range from 3,727 to 7,309 sq ft; home sizes from 1,515 to 2,840 square feet and prices from $875,000 to $1.2 million. Home plans can be customized, and optional features include a detached guest cottage, luxury garage, secret grotto garden, furniture package, outdoor kitchen/lounge, deluxe sound package, and outdoor shower. With 10 homes sold, only ten remain for sale.
The Trepanier Manor show home is open for viewing daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 5126 MacKinnon Road in Peachland.
